From the www.fightnews.com website dated August 19, 2005:

"In a Woman's 4 round super bantamweight bout, Sharon Gaines was able to
overcome a slow start against a tall counter-punching southpaw Antoinette
Weaver en-route to an impressive 4th round TKO. Early on in the bout, Sharon
slowly probed the much taller southpaw, Weaver 0-4 and was tentative to move
inside punching range. Weaver started by landing a few arm punches early but
by round two but Sharon was walking through those shots and was landing the
harder right hands inside on her crumbling opponent. Round three is was
Gaines, who is landed everything she wanted to against a hurt and exhausted
Weaver who is threw nothing in return. Sharon landed a huge crunching right
to the jaw the wobbled her despondent opponent as the round ended. On the
advice of the ring doctor after looking at Weaver in the corner the referee
was forced to call a halt to the bout as Sharon scores a fourth round
technical knockout.

A Jubilant Sharon Gaines when asked about fighting the tall southpaw in
Antoinette Weaver explained "I am so used to fighting tall people. I am 5'
2", 120 pounds and my legs are stacked, so I think I've fought two people my
size, so that makes no difference. I didn't know she was a lefty, but that
is part of learning. She is not as good as me, so that was a great place to
make an adjustment." Sharon continued, " Usually the taller people try to
out jab me and I can establish my jab better, but she didn't lead so I
couldn't really counter. I am used to being a counter puncher because I am
the shorter fighter. I usually dodge a couple punches and come in. I
couldn't slip any punches because she wasn't throwing until I threw, stated
a happy Gaines who won her fourth consecutive bout to move to 9-4 3ko's"
